Tiger Mom

Since the very first bicycle in the early 1800’s, bike designers and riders have wanted to carry things with them. At that time they called bikes “horse replacements” and the first generation of bike makers drew their inspiration from horse’s saddlebags creating all kinds of bags to hang from the bicycle. But by the 1900’s, it became clear that people needed to carry much more, more conveniently: kids, pets, food, merchandise, tents and sleeping bags, and so much more. Bicycle innovators tried all kinds of designs: sidecars, trailers, long tails. But, none of them could match the Long John Cargo design which started in the 1930’s in Denmark. This design revolutionized cargo bikes by putting all the cargo in front at a much lower height resulting in safer, more comfortable, and more convenient way of bringing anything anywhere.
